Tarih boyunca birçok toplum bir kurtarıcının veya Mesih’in geleceğine inanmıştır. Yahudilik, Hristiyanlık ve İslam gibi büyük dinlerde bu inanç farklı şekillerde yer alır. Peki, Mesih gerçekten geldi mi?
Yahudilikte Mesih: Yahudilere göre Mesih, Tanrı tarafından gönderilecek bir liderdir. İsrail halkını özgürlüğüne kavuşturacak, dünyaya barış ve adalet getirecektir. Ancak Yahudilikte Mesih’in henüz gelmediğine inanılır.
Hristiyanlıkta Mesih: Hristiyanlıkta Mesih, İsa’dır. Hristiyanlara göre İsa, Tanrı’nın Oğlu olarak dünyaya gelmiş, insanları günahlarından kurtarmış ve çarmıha gerildikten sonra dirilmiştir. Aynı zamanda bir gün tekrar geleceğine inanılır.
İslam'da Mesih: İslam’a göre Mesih, kıyametten önce yeniden dünyaya dönecek olan Hz. İsa’dır. İsa’nın Mehdi ile birlikte adaleti sağlayacağı ve dünyayı zulümden kurtaracağı kabul edilir.
Mesih Geldi mi?

Teknolojinin gelişmesi ve bilgiye erişimin artması, bu tür inançların farklı şekillerde yorumlanmasına sebep olmuştur. Artık bazıları Mesih’in gelişini sembolik bir anlamda ele almakta, dünyada barış ve adaletin sağlanmasını bir tür “Mesih’in gelişi” olarak görmektedir.
Mesih’in gelip gelmediği inançlara ve bakış açılarına göre değişir. Kimileri hâlâ beklerken, kimileri zaten geldiğine ve mesajını verdiğine inanır. Asıl önemli olan, Mesih inancının insanları daha iyi bir dünya için harekete geçirip geçirmediğidir.
